Most of us make at least one New Years resolution. I think the most common words said at this time of the year aside from Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, or Happy Holidays is, "Starting January 1st I'm going to..." in some variation. Well, starting yesterday I decided I was going to:
Spend even more time daydreaming about all the hot guys in my life. Leave us face it, we might have a good looking fellow to call our own, but can he really compare to the ones we visualize in books? If you can answer yes to that question you deserve a bottle of champagne. Use it wisely.
Interestingly enough, that resolution leads to a second. I'm going to fill my hard drive, and therefore, the cyber shelves with even more books to entertain my readers. I figure if I'm spending all that time daydreaming about all those hot guys I'll have even more ideas to write about. There is a method to my madness, though I'm usually the only one who understands it. LOL
Finally, somewhere among all this I plan to take out more time to watch TV/movies this year. Yep, can you believe I hardly ever watch television? You may have read in some of my Christmas posts that the kids and I started a new tradition in December. Computer went off no later than 7pm, we lit candles all over the living room and settled in front of the TV with hot chocolate to watching Christmas movies and cartoons. Not only did it provide some much needed quality time with the boys, but great entertainment and relaxation as well. I actually found when I settled down to work again that my mind was clearer and easier to get in gear for the latest project. I doubt we'll keep with such an extravagant tradition through every day of the year, but at least one night a week in front of the tube with a good movie will work fine. Until it's December again and then the whole Santa entertainment and hot chocolate is on again:)
So what did you say when the ball dropped in New York at midnight on New Years Eve. This year I'm going to... You fill in the blank!
Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year and the resolve to keep to all those heartfelt resolutions you made,
