The Only Thing That Stay the Same Is...Change

It's that time of year, when the kids have gone back to school, and I have all the free time in the world to write stories uninterrupted...

In my dreams.

Here I thought I'd get to the school year and suddenly have the benefit of five days a week without the older one, and four afternoons all to myself while  the little one's in preschool. And it's true, those chunks of time are there. Unfortunately, the time seems to get chewed up by things not remotely related to writing. Add to that my new-this-year day job editing, as well as school year extracurricular activities, and I actually have LESS time than before!

So this week I've started tracking my time, and it's been interesting to say the least. Each week I spend the following time doing things I didn't have to do in the summer:

2 hrs transporting kids to school
6 1/2 hrs transporting kids to activites and waiting around while they are in them
5 hrs supervising homework and making sure other school needs are kept up on

That's basically a whole day...gone. No wonder I'm feeling a time crunch! Not much I can do about it, but at least now I know, so I can grumble about 13 and 1/2 hours under my breath. :)

I have all sorts of releases coming up at TEB in the next several weeks! My second Seasoned Women story, Falling For the Other Brother, comes out on October 11th. It's a M/F/M menage, and here's the blurb:

Erica had been planning to break it off with Trevor - he was really too young for her after all. But it's hard to use that excuse when the man she's really interested in is Trevor's twin, Colin.

Her biological clock ticking, a chance conversation leads Erica to Trevor, a former sperm donor, who helps convince her to move ahead with her plans. But he adamantly refuses to be her donor, in fact has pulled all his past donations, for a reason he won't discuss. Their subsequent relationship, while hot, just drives home the different goals the two have.

When Colin returns from overseas, his problem with intimacy still looming large, he never dreamt he would meet his ideal partner in Erica. Only two things stand in their way: her relationship with his brother, and the fact she wants children...the one thing he can no longer provide.

Next up is Pride and Joey, a M/M shifter story which releases on October 25th as part of TEB's Feral collection.

Vance thought his pride meant everything to him...until fate sent Joey into his lair and into his heart.

Vance grew up the odd one out in a macho and very insular pride of lion shifters. Differences like enjoying the cool fall weather are bad enough-his pridemates would kill him if they learned he was gay. Still, his pride is all he knows. He'd never even met a shifter of another type...until he discovers an unconscious cougar male in his lair.

Joey is on the run and wants to keep Vance at arm’s length, especially since someone very close to the lion is the root of all his troubles. But there is something irresistible about Vance, something which has Joey wanting more than he ever dared to dream.

When their lives are threatened, Joey must choose whether to sacrifice himself, or try to live and keep Vance close...for the very short remainder of his life.

On November 1st, my story Rough Riders, which was originally released in the Gaymes Anthology, will be coming out as an individual ebook. I believe this series is also scheduled to release in audio book the beginning of November.

Playing by different rules can lead to heartbreak, but changing the game plan can be the tiebreaker.

Luke Briscoe has a good reason to stay in the closet with his team, the Rough Riders. Bitter past experience has taught him to be cautious around athletic teams. But after Mario, his teammate and lover of ten years, leaves him, tired of the secrecy, Luke is forced to confront his fears, especially since the sexy and confident new member of the team, Derek Grimm, has no problem with being out and proud.

Derek has wanted Luke from the first moment he saw him. But he knows the timing is all wrong, and vows to let Luke have the time he needs to recover from his breakup. As time goes on, though, Derek becomes frustrated with Luke’s determination to stay in the closet.

Derek and Mario are out, and the team is fine with it. Why is Luke still holding back? Derek wonders if any amount of time will ever be enough. Maybe it’s time to try a different game plan...

Finally, on November 15th my M/M/F Menage, Sci-Fi/Futuristic story, Wet Your Whistle will be coming out. This one has a soft spot in my heart. Hope you enjoy it too!

Three lonely people trapped together on a distant, isolated planet...

When Rhea was left all alone at Wet Your Whistle after her beloved grandfather died, she vowed to seduce the next visitor into taking her along when they leave. Who knew she would have to choose between two mouthwatering men?

Jolan is wealthy and handsome and arrives just ahead of the storm. But his presence here isn't random, and he stands to gain more from this visit than anyone suspects. But will having Rhea and all she brings with her cost him the man he loves?

Bryce has committed himself to Jolan, his lover and savior. Now the sexy Captain finds himself drawn to Rhea, but with nothing to offer her, how can he compete with Jolan for her heart?

With attraction on all sides, and layers of secrets to reveal, the three play in the hot springs and delve into love. But before the storm is over, they will need to make hard choices, and see whether the truth will cost them their hearts.
