Have you even been deep in the middle of a movie or a television show and thought, ooh! what if this one and that one got together? What if they did this___? If you have, then you're like me. For example, and I'll probably be drawn and quartered for this but I don't care, in the movie, Captain America, I very much wanted Captain America to take Peggy aside for a tryst in one of the tents. I wanted him to do it and for me to get to watch it. I'm kinky, I don't care. Same thing for Thor, although, I kinda wanted a threesome in that one. Natalie Portman, her grad assistant pal and Thor all should've had a hot time. I'd have watched. And the friend needed a quickie with Loki.
Okay, so my brain works overtime. Whose doesn't? But my point here is sometimes we want a sweet story with a chaste kiss. In my case, I want sex and I want the characters to show how they feel for each other. If the classic book happens to hint to it, I don't see a problem with letting the leash loose.
There's another way to look at this. Don't mess with what works. True. I mean, the book was fine the way it was. So was the movie or movies in this case. And I understand that the viewing audience for the movies would be reduced because of the age thing. I get it. But not being broken isn't always a reason for not fixing. Besides, the Clandestine Classics aren't really being fixed. It's a little spice to the dish.
I'm seeing people are either up in arms about the spice or love it. There seems to be very little in between. And I wonder why. I do. Maybe it's because my brain works in a way that I want to see the stuff that isn't shown. Maybe I'm strange. Shrug. I've been strange for a long time. What are your thoughts? I know I'm opening a can of worms, but I like to stir the pot. Grin.
Now a little bit about my latest release, because it's not Classic, yet, but it's got plenty of smexin' in it.
It’s 1970. The world is in upheaval. Can two people really make a difference and find love at the same time?
Noel Flynt signed up for the Army to carry out his family duty. He never expected the travesties of Vietnam to take their toll on him. He’s coming back to the world he thought he knew, but with everything changing around him, he’s going to have to learn he can’t live in the past.
Cindy Stephens couldn’t wait for Noel to return. She sees the man within the uniform and has loved him for as long as she can remember. But times have changed. She’s not the timid schoolgirl any longer. Can she accept his changes, too? The only constants are time and love.
Reader Advisory: This book contains one war hero, the woman who loves him, lots of hot sex, with a little spanking mixed in for good measure.
